GoodVibe.TV – Powered by Soul, Inspired by Detroit

If there’s one city that knows soul, it’s Detroit. From the Motown sound that changed the world to the underground scenes that birthed new genres, “the D” has always been a proving ground for artists who redefine music. That’s the spirit behind GoodVibe.TV

We started GoodVibe.TV because we saw something missing—a true home for independent urban music that wasn’t controlled by algorithms or major labels. We wanted a space where real artists and real fans could connect, without the noise, without the politics—just good music.

What We Do:

📺 Create a Platform for Discovery – A nonstop video wall of the best independent soul, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, reggae & more
🌍 Connect Global Sounds with Local Flavor – From Detroit to London, Lagos to Atlanta, we bring the best in indie soul to one place.

About the Founder – David L. Pittman

Music runs deep in Detroit, and for David L. Pittman, it’s been a lifelong journey—one that’s taken him from the city’s vibrant jazz scene to the world of media, music publishing, and live performance.

Born and raised in Detroit, David is a classically and jazz-trained trumpet player, having honed his craft under the guidance of legendary Detroit jazz icons Ken Cox and Donald Walden. His talent as both a soloist and ensemble performer has earned him recognition and awards in concert, orchestra, and jazz performance. But his passion for music didn’t stop at the stage—it extended into radio, artist management, and the business of music itself.

David’s journey in broadcasting began as an on-air DJ at Detroit’s legendary WGPR radio, the station connected to WGPR-TV, the first Black-owned television station in the U.S. It was there that he developed his love for curating and sharing music with the world, diving deep into the sounds of soul, jazz, reggae, and underground hip-hop. That passion for discovery and curation later led him behind the scenes as a music royalty administrator for Sony Music Publishing, helping ensure artists and songwriters got the credit (and checks) they deserved.

He’s also spent time in both Japan and New York City managing live bands, working closely with musicians navigating the indie scene and learning firsthand what it takes to build a career outside the major label system. As a registered producer for PRSS (Public Radio Satellite System), he continues to shape the way music and stories are broadcast to audiences worldwide.

With GoodVibe.tv, David brings all of these experiences together—a musician’s ear, a DJ’s instinct, and an industry insider’s knowledge—to create a platform that truly champions independent soul, jazz, hip-hop, reggae, and R&B artists.

Detroit has influenced some of the greatest sounds in history. Now, through GoodVibe.tv, a native son is helping shape the future of independent urban music—one artist, one song, and one vibe at a time.
